Sorry but that “story” just doesn’t pass the sniff test. I have a family member who is in the FBI and done many internet child porn investigations and made many arrests, none of which required immediate evacuation and closure of an entire facility AND an entire United States Post Office, and didn’t require use of any helicopters. Separate news reporting states FBI officials didn’t want to state the reason for the evacuations/closures because they “didn’t want to tip-off the suspect who is a janitor at the facility”. Ummm, huh??? He wouldn’t notice that his place of employment was suddenly evacuated and closed and he couldn’t go to work?! Maybe they just closed the Post Office as a misdirection tactic for the mastermind janitor...ummm, riiiight.
Then after all that, the janitor wasn’t even arrested??? This must be either the worst cover story ever or the biggest, most exaggerated federal response to a case of internet child pornography ever heard of. They could have taken any one of the theories out there, including an E.T. invasion, and it would have been more believable LOL!
Wasn’t going to put the FBI family member on the spot by asking about this just in case it was classified, but just too tempting lol.

Isn’t kiddie porn the catch-all to justify government actions? May as well throw rape accusations into the mix.

    Just ask Mr. Snowden

I was thinking the same thing. Every time someone rubs the government the wrong way. Child pornography is pulled out like a card.

    Snowdon, Wikileaks, Kim Dotcom...

It can be. I won't go into Dost and other cases; you can do a search and go down an incredibly deep hole on this stuff. However, it's good to keep in mind that the definition is so broad that anybody can get into trouble. There are people in jail for possessing cartoons, fer goodness sake.

I finally read this entire thread after letting it cook.

It's amazing at how an event can shut people down and they can't offer an explanation. Replies to hide fear(?)....tin foil, aliens, conspiracy. Anything outside what's considered a social normal really jacks with people.

How intriguing. Sociology thesis in the making.

Carry on, just thinking and typing at the same time.

Not a conspiracy, but they SHOULD have “conspired” to come up with a better cover story, it doesn’t even make any sense LOL

    I’ve got my own predictions.

    1. The suns gonna make it hot outside
    2. The sun is the cause, but no one from this closed down site can say that. They don’t have a job.
    3. News blames global warming/man made climate change on trump late October. This continues and all republicans and conservatives are blamed forever and ever.

The solar observatory that was dramatically closed down last week has reopened, but they still haven’t really explained what happened despite the release of a lengthy statement.

Who else has a ton of questions about the facility that was closed down abruptly last week by federal agents arriving in Blackhawk helicopters? The Sunspot Solar Observatory has been at the top of Sacramento Peak ever since 1947. It’s in Sunspot, New Mexico, in Otero County. And on Sept. 6 every person there was evicted evacuated by the FBI.

No one knew why it was closed, nor did they know why nearby post offices were also suddenly shut down.

The old ‘Child Porn Gambit’ smells a lot like ‘Bull Defection’ to me.....

As usual, another event we'll never know the truth about. The child pornography has to the dumbest excuse. All it does is lead down the same Damn rabbit hole as everything else. Over and over and over.

It's all legit. Blackhawk helicopter, FBI, the post offices closed. Death threats to the place.....

No less then 8 years ago. Folks were buying this type of happy horse$hit. Child Porn? Is that the best we get for the tax dollars spent?

    I feel ripped OFF.
