I'm not good with condensing things but I'll give it a try.

In ~1974, sis was employed by Equifax in Brownwood working for a man named Harry Marlin. She became good friends with Harry and his wife Vivian. By ~1975, she had moved to running a bar there in Brownwood but remained friends with Harry and Vivian. Harry was an old friend of Willie. Harry went to Luckenbach on multiple occasions just to hang out with Willie Nelson and others. Willie owned or partially owned a sort-of bar there and when it was nice weather, he liked to just hang around outside, drink beer, and occasionally pick up a guitar and sing a little something. This was back around Red Headed Stranger and while Willie was supposedly living in Austin, he spent as much time as possible decompressing at small gatherings of friends in Luckenbach.

On a couple of occasions, sis accepted Harry's invitation to tag along. (She even met Waylon Jennings at one of those gatherings.) In addition, when Willie was in Brownwood, Harry would bring him into The Golden Bull, the very small and private bar (legally, a members-only private club) attached to a restaurant. That was the bar my sister ran.

There wasn't a single time when she was in his presence that Willie didn't hit on her. What made it amusing was the way he'd do so even when his wife at the time, Connie Koepke, was nearby, in the same room, at the next picnic table, sometimes within feet. He was more than two decades older than sis and she thought it was hilarious that he thought he had a shot with her, especially with his wife literally within earshot.

Similarly, former Lt. Governor Ben Barnes did exactly the same thing when the Golden Bull catered a party at his house on Lake Brownwood except that not only his wife but also one or two of his kids were present. While he made lewd proposals, she was looking at him and could see his wife and kids over his shoulder, maybe 10 feet behind him. That picture has always stuck in her mind as being very strange, a little funny, and a little sad.

Personally, I've outgrown hitting on women 20+ years my junior. I had some success with that tactic a couple of decades ago and found the whole process far, far too expensive to be worth what I got out of it. :)

Some very successful men, however, clearly engage in such practices regularly.

The Wife and I will be married 48 years if we make it to Christmas. She started hitting on me right from the start. She hits on me with her fists, frypans, rocks..... whatever she’s got in her hands.

I think Cruz has a handle on it. The GOP is not dumping money here because they believe they are fine. I think they are correct. Not only that, but the whole Kavanaugh deal has lit a fire........under GOP voters. GOP, NeverTrumpers, and Conservatives all seem United. I am not saying to relax and not vote.
As for the stickers and church, the hypocrisy is questioning. I met my wife in church and prior to that she had a very religious roommate. She later married and the couple went to Hawaii with us. They go to a big church that is known for their strict teachings of the bible. Yet she voted for Wendy Davis, is a Democrat now and after my posts on FB, unfriended us. My pastor is fond of stating the church is full of hypocrites.

Kavanaugh has also become the rallying cry of the left.

Get out and vote. Drag your conservative friends out to vote. Kavanaugh shows exactly what the left has in store for us. Given power they will destroy any institution they see as opposition to their agenda by any means necessary. The general public doesn’t have the resources to mount a BK defensive and would be buried...

Vote like your life depends on it!! BK needs to be the galvanizing event that leads to a leftist dick stomping come November.

My wife put out a Cruz sign in the yard yesterday. AFAIK, this is the only one in our NW Austin neighborhood. There are currently four Beto signs on our block alone. We'll see how long it takes to get stolen or our house vandalized.

The good news is two neighbors asked where they could get one, so I'm gonna work on that this week.

I, too, am in NW Austin. In our small neighborhood there are lots of Beto signs but a few Cruz signs have been popping up lately, but not many. Personally, I see no need to announce my preference to my neighbors.

There’s about 450 homes in our little neighborhood. I have yet to see any political signs at all and we’ve only had one canvasser that got chased off real quick.

The signboard leaving says to things:

    Elections are Nov 6

Vote No on Prop 1 - We don’t want to be annexed.

Of course you want to be annexed. Mayor Nimrod know how to spend your money better than you.

Some people think that campaign signs are for the purpose of letting other folks know who you are voting for. That however is not what they are for, they are an advertisement.

I probably wouldn't have done it but after the Kavanaugh debacle I couldn't hold her back any longer. She persisted.

I do intend to set up one of my game cams on it, though.
