First pistol was a Gen 3 Glock 22. I do not have it anymore. I figured out after a few years that Gen 3 Glocks just do not work for me and moved on.

Tough question. There were two pretty early pistols so not sure which came first but Ike was still President. Both were Colts (kinda, not sure of the actual make of the first one), one a 1911 that followed Dad home from the Persian Gulf and the other a Pocket Hammerless that had been my Grandfathers. Honestly, no idea what happened to either of them but I had a herd of younger brothers & sisters so it's likely they passed down to them.

Got my first pistol as a gift from my dad at around age 7-8 (~1965-66). Came with a hand tooled "Running W Saddle Shop" holster/belt combo.
Single action .22, can't remember what it was.

I loaned it to an ex GF for protection back in the 80s.
Next time I saw her, I asked about it & it had been stolen.

H&K USP .40 and H&K USP Compact .40, bought both at the same time, both sold.

On a side note if anyone is looking for a .40 that doesn't have a snappy recoil, the H&K USP (full size) is the bee's knees. It was as soft shooting as any 9mm I've shot. The USP Compact, on the other hand, was just as snappy as any other .40 I've shot.

S&W 422, when Walmart put all their pistols on clearance in the process of stopping selling handguns. Got it for 30% off retail, and still have it.

I taught all my kids to shoot pistol with it.

sig 380 and a S&W 357 6 inch I bought on the same day. I got them from a good friend back in Colorado at an amazing deal. Unfortunately they are 2 of the many I lost in a robbery. My father being a buy guns only for hunting person chuckled when I told them I bought them. After I told him I paid $350 for the pair he smiled and complimented my wise investment.

Yep,long time this has been a hellish year.

In April I broke my wrist 5 days later had steel plates put in. I broke it when I fell and passed out and broke my other hand at the same time.

Missed three weeks of work then went back and got fired on July 5th.

July 2nd I passed out again and another trip to the hospital low blood sugar both time I missed my surgery to have a heart recorder put in on the July 3rd and the air conditioning at home went out on July 4th.

July 5th I got fired as I said and in August if the plates came out of my roof my wrist.

VA gave me a 90% disability but I have a claim in trying for a hundred.

To make matters worse I turn 70 this month.
    .
I need to find a job this forced retirement after eight years on the job means I have to spend all day with my wife. That's work.

To top it off I have an infected hangnail which hurts more than the broken wrist.

    How you doing?
