Tomorrow morning is bench and upper body day. Then I take off Sat and Sun.
I went to a dead lift competition last night were everyone was in costume and deadlifting serious weights. It was funny as heck to see a guy in a T-Rex costume pulling 425 lbs.
3 guys went over 500 and 2 of them went to 630
    That’s stout.

    Whoop! Whoop!
Shot an eagle on the par four 320 yd. ninth this morning. Tasted like a spotted owl.
Just kidding, it tasted like Victory.
I've had a couple of hole in ones. Today was my first eagle.

    Squats..?

    Pass.

To beat up, to old and after decades and decades of physical fitness fanaticism, I just don't care anymore.

If I last until my next birthday, (next month) I'll be happy.

Damn few live all their lives enjoying great physical fitness.

And now, since I've quit doing regular, regimented exercise I wish I hadn't - I've got so much more energy to accomplish every day things like mow or take out the garbage or whatever.

    Screw regular exercise..

It's for people like I used to be..driven to be fit.

    **** it!

I decided to up the intensity on my workouts and added box jumps into the mix.
I do them the same days I do planks and hypertensions.
It will get your heart rate up for sure and really good for CNS/reaction/explosive speed improvement which will help in your big three lifts.

I won’t quit doing this if I have any say in it.

It makes me feel too damn good all the time.

I usually go at 6am so it’s time that I would normally just be sitting in front of the TV wasting time anyway.

No pills in a bottle, no magic potion can replace pushing iron and getting your heart pumping on a regular schedule

'Top of the hill, Kerr County!
Exactly! I did it at 6:30 in the mornings with the coaches before school started. Revved me up for the day and felt good. Initially had a powdered protein drink in the AM but eating right will do it just as well.

Went from about 165 to 215/220 lbs. in less than a year (40 yrs. ago!) which at 6'2" felt very good.
    Dang you beefed up brother!
I’m 6”6 and am sitting at 250 and I wear 36” waist pants.
I got down to 242 this spring and have bulked back up to 250 but my waist has actually gotten a tad smaller while I was gaining weight on the scale.
I’m eating about 3000 calories a day with about 260 grams of protein which is tough to do without using the protein shakes to help hit that number.
