    I watched the show and I wonder how they handled telling him? During a break?..
    He must have known if it started while he was on air
    They planned it that way

    Antifa needs taught a lesson in civility with a 3 lb hammer applied to the medulla oblongata!

    Depends on location.
    Downtown pranksters? Nope.
    In the sticks, 1/4 mile up a private drive?

    TPC 9.42 is your friend. Use of force and use of deadly force have different bars to meet:

    Sec. 9.42. DEADLY FORCE TO PROTECT PROPERTY. A person is justified in using deadly force against another to protect land or tangible, movable property:
    (1) if he would be justified in using force against the other under Section 9.41;

    AND

    (2) when and to the degree he reasonably believes the deadly force is immediately necessary:
    (A) to prevent the other's imminent commission of arson, burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, theft during the nighttime, or criminal mischief during the nighttime; or
    (B) to prevent the other who is fleeing immediately after committing burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, or theft during the nighttime from escaping with the property;

    AND

    (3) he reasonably believes that:
    (A) the land or property cannot be protected or recovered by any other means; or
    (B) the use of force other than deadly force to protect or recover the land or property would expose the actor or another to a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury.

    Gotta be able to jump the bar for use of force, then meet the elements for deadly force.

    Or have a friendly LEO/prosecutor.

    9.42 S2(a) is the hard part.

    Yeah, yeah, yeah, we get all that; however, don't forget that there was a mob--and there's no one person who can control what a mob does . . . except maybe one Texas Ranger. The possible responses to a mob is most definitely broader to a mob than to a single interloper.

    Not trying to be harsh, but most folks would be reasonably fearful of having a mob of antifa in black bloc on their lawn, during the hours of darkness, and trying to call you out--ringing the bell and belittling by shouts. I'm not advocating coming out shooting; however, I'm saying the mob aspect of the whole thing cannot be dismissed lightly--especially when you add in the country aspect like Vaq added into the picture.

    That situation requires calling the police. Nothing they were doing came to the level of deadly force. It was harassment and trespass. You can't start shooting people for pre crime that hasn't happened yet.
