Just when you think the progressive screeching can’t get any worse and you can’t despise them anymore they go ahead and just pull this one out.

Middle class indoctrinated bored white college kids. Ugh.

    Great quote from them

... most folks would be reasonably fearful of having a mob ...

    I don’t disagree with that.

...I'm saying the mob aspect of the whole thing cannot be dismissed lightly...

I think it’s the hypothetical I’m having a hard time envisioning, so I’m not going to address that part.

I’ll concede my position is things are peaceful until they aren’t, which is highly situational and binary; it’s not really on a continuum.

The binary switch occurs when it’s evident to a reasonable man that deadly force is necessary.

Once the situation, from my perspective, crosses the threshold to use deadly force, then it’s peace through superior firepower, by all means.

That situation requires calling the police. Nothing they were doing came to the level of deadly force. It was harassment and trespass. You can't start shooting people for pre crime that hasn't happened yet.
While I totally agree, there are times when the police response can't get there soon enough. And the whole "police aren't responsible for your safety" thing. Wife home alone with young kids . . . black bloc antifa mob clamoring to get in, whatever. You can see a bad situation go way worse.

It’s reported (nothing shown yet) that they cracked the front door slamming into it. So that sounds like a lot more then “protesting”. These are the people that smash windows and burn limo’s. So with their history I don’t think it would be a stretch to fear for ones life.
No, no, no--the naysayers others won't accept this as a reasonably-forseeable result of mob action!

Cracked.Front.Door.Wait. Wut? Zinc? tap tap tap--you there?
Confusing post - you quote me but talk to Zinc?

At any rate, the cracked front door is destruction of property, or property damage, or however you want to say it, and does not rise to the level of deadly force.

Now if they breached the door and actually stepped foot into the house we are talking a whole different level. But they didn't.

Would if be prepared if they did? Sure I would, but it didn't happen.

Time for legal advice from the interwebz!!!!!!!

What would happen if you just unlocked your door and waited for them to open it? In the court of law, would that be considered “bait”?

I quoted you--and am talking to you. However, I'm also calling out Zinc for his earlier comments. The cracked door changes everything. Don't be confused.

I'm not necessarily saying that it's "GO TIME"; however, it's also not a situation where folks are singing Kumbaya on your tree lawn and lighting candles. This is a black bloc mob AT your door, slamming your door, and cracking your front door. And you're behind it with your babies, and your hubby is at work . . .
