I'm liking my M&P 2.0 4" compact. I need a holster for it. I haven't really been carrying for quite a while. I like the look of the Tier 1 appendix carry holsters, but I don't want to carry appendix and $130~ is quite a lot for a holster. But people always say something like "people spend $500 on a gun but put it in a $30 holster" I bought a alien gear cloak tuck 3.5 for my glock 17 and hated it. It made a big gun about 5x bigger. I bought a $30 Hide it Deep holster off amazon and carried that for a while. I then later decided to try and carry my Shield 9mm with a $30 holster from CYA. It didn't conceal as well and I kinda hate the gun.

I would carry right in the 3-4 o clock area on my right hip, so the grip would hide. I remember trying to appendix one of my $30 holsters and it didn't feel like there was enough room for my junk and a barrel down there. (wonder if you would have to take your holster off to pee) But those $130 T1 appendix holsters are tempting. Right now the top holsters on my list are the Clinger holster's V3 no print wonder and QVO "More Discreet" IWB holster. Both of these are in the $60 range.

Are there any other holsters I should look at? Has anyone used one of these holsters? I'm not sure if the V3 no print wonder is more of a 4-5 o clock or can be used in the 3 o clock area.

    Thanks,

I have bought all my holsters thru C&G and Desantis. Wide variety to choose from that's affordable and comfortable.

    Dara Kydex for me.
Good prices, plus they always have discount codes posted on Reddit.

    And Vortex-level customer service

I carry in the 4 o’clock position, and I use Bullard holsters. They’ll be around $100 but they hold up well, ride comfortably, and don’t give a pronounced bulge.

Best holster I’ve tried so far is a desantis slim tuk. It’s ambi, adjustable cant and is tuckable if you have a job like me where your shirt needs to be tucked in

I have an Alien Gear super tuck for my Kahr 9 and love it. Price is very reasonable. I don't know what model you had - that is, I'm not familiar with it but mine conceals very well and is comfortable. Ditto on the older Cross-Breed holsters but they are more $$.

I’ve got the IWB/OWB combo from AG and a OWB Crossbreed.

We’re I wanting the most bangs for buck I’d look at the AG Shape Shift Carry pack for $100

Here's a question. Kydex are holsters with the claw for appendix only or can you put them right at 3 o clock? I'm currently looking at all of these holsters.

If by the claw thing, you are describing that in-out hook thing, I don't see why you couldn't wear it at 3 o'clock. Might not be as comfortable but, should still work.

Another guy you might call is Alameda Holsters in Hewitt, Texas. He does the absolute best custom Kydex work I've ever seen. At VERY reasonable pricing. Unfortunately I don't have a link for him but he does have a FaceBook page. Might call him and see what he might could suggest for ya.

I don't think there's any reason why you couldn't place an appendix carry holster at any location you wanted.
However, having never owned one, I don't know if they have an adjustable cant.

ETA: Looks like I was Ninja'd.

I purchased the AG Shape Shift package, and I have only used it IWB. For me it is very comfortable. I have worn it upwards of 14 hours in a day, while doing work at the house, bending, squatting and such. No movement and forgot it was there. I carry a G19. I highly recommend Alien Gear.

My personal favorites are Comp-Tac for hybrids and kydex and DeSantis and EL Paso Saddlery for leather. Alien Gear, DeSantis and Crossbreed make good hybrids also. Bladetech makes good kydex holsters. If you have the money, Kramer Handgun Leather in horsehide leather is superb. You should always carry the best pistol or revolver that you trust to go "bang" every time in the best, most sturdy and comfortable holster you can afford. The holstered handgun must be comfortable or it will not be carried.
