The only pair of boots I've bought since then that I still don't have and wear is a pair of eel skin.
They were extremely soft and comfortable, but they didn't hold up to abuse.
Being a "True Texan" has nothing to do with boots or clothing. It's about attitude.
Not everyone born here is a "True Texan," nor do you have to be born here to be a "True Texan."
What about a Ronco rhinestone and stud setter, is that ok?At least he was not wearing embroidered jeans........ or was he?
What round for hoto boots?
Not everyone born here is a "True Texan, agreed
nor do you have to be born here to be a "True Texan." disagree
So if you are not born here, how can you be a true Texan? If you were born in Ireland can you claim to be mexican? (excuse the unline).
Pretty sure what MMM was saying when he said you don't have be from Texas to be a "true" Texan:
Be pretty hard to say guys like Sam Houston and Stephen F. Austin, both not born in Texas, including many who fought and died at Goliad and at the Alamo were not from Texas, but do exemplify the "true Texas" spirit, if not downright set the bar to be a true Texan.
