Gravy is for biscuits and Chicken Fried Steaks

    “ Sauce”goes with pasta

My favorite is creamy Alfredo sauce.

    Spaghetti sauce or spaghetti gravy?

    Sauce ya dingbats......

Oh yeah, the 'putte' sauce sounds great to me, but then I find anchovies really help flavor almost any sauce, but yeah, wimps don't like anchovies......

    Pizza?

    Yes, anchovies please.

In my experience Italians refer to sauce as gravy but Americans commonly call it just sauce.

As for myself I prefer a marinara type sauce that is made with garlic. Check out Prego Farmers Market Roasted Garlic sauce. It is made with all natural ingredients. Even the vegetables in the sauce are not the commonly used dehydrated ones. This sauce literally tastes like its home made.

I like extra sauce on my pasta. I cook 8oz. of dry pasta (made with durum wheat for best flavor) and combine that with a 24oz. jar of sauce. Add in a little mozzarella, romano, parmesan, asiago, and provolone cheeses and it comes out perfect for me.

I tend to keep a tube of anchovy paste on hand. Butter, mayo, roasted garlic, anchovy paste under the broiler makes killer garlic bread. Caramelized onions, roasted garlic, anchovies & red pepper flakes in olive oil over pasta is a classic too!
