So the wife blindsided me the other day with, "I want to go bird hunting." Cool. I'm down with that. ;) The only problem here is that she's never really shot shotguns.

I'd like to find her a female shotgun trainer to help her:
    1. Get properly fitted for a shotgun and/or stock
    2. Learn how to hit a moving, flying target
So, does anyone know of any female shotgun instructors in the Austin area?

    Thanks.

    Wow. Thanks, guys.
So I'm going to assume that's a "No. We don't know of any shotgun instructors who are female"?

OHHHH....I'm SURE there are a few of THOSE around...why didn't you say that in the first place???

Actually, I thought she wanted an instructor who taught females how to shoot shotguns. Most common instruction would be, "Stop leaning backwards!" LOL

Not a female instructor...but a very good instructor! Jeff Foster at the austin skeet and trap range. He is the sporting clay instructor, great guy. My wife has worked with him a little and she loves him. My daughter has also worked with him a couple of times.

At the risk of sounding serious, isn't there a female instructor at Eagle Peak? Daughter of the owner or something like that? No idea if she teaches 'shotgun'. Anyway...
