I can understand this sentiment, as I’m from the nonsensical left coast.

    But consider In-N-Out:
    - is a privately held corporation
    - puts a bible verse at the bottom of each cup
    - is hated by CA Democrats, because they have a history of donating to conservative causes and CA Republicans

And yet they fund mightily the state of CA through all sorts of taxes.

    Can’t say that about Whataburger.

Used to work down the street from I think the second In and Out Burger circa 1971. At least in the San Fernando valley. They were the best. Went back to same store in 2007 and they taste like plastic. I'd forgotten the secret menu and it was just not special.
Whataburger was great on day one and it still a treat today. Although I really like their chicken salad with Honey Pepper vinaigrette dressing. Did I just lose my guy card for writing that?
Please don't tell me about their politics. I don't want to get agitated.

    True.

So on the one hand, we have a CA company based behind enemy lines, that’s supporting conservative causes but pays CA taxes. And no 30.06 or 30.07

And on the other hand, we have a Texas company that prohibits corporate political donations. And allows concealed but not open carry.

Six of one, half-dozen of the other.

Eater.com says Whataburger has a corporate policy not to donate to any political party or candidate.
In and Out gave 25k to the Cali republicans. in 2018
The article I read said an ethical hamburger place is one that only gives to democrats. So take this with a grain of salt.
HEB is senile as Mr. Butt gave all his company money to John Kasich.

So where do you go for a fast food burger. Whataburger is the best in my opinion. Jack in the Box makes a good Patty melt

As a native Californian, In-N-Out gets a solid "meh" from me. I'd take Whataburger any day.

I do like the company of In-N-Out though. They pay their people well and treat them well by choice. Restaurants are usually clean and fairly efficient.

Honoring a store that wont let you OC...
HEB is another one that wont let you OC
So what? They don't ask (or require) you to disarm and don't want their pansified customers scared by visible guns not carried by LEO, I have no issue with it.

Taco Cabana (at least Huntsville's) has a sign that essentially reads *we'd rather you not OC, please respect that*. I do.

Did I state something factually incorrect?

I've just never understood the big deal with WB. I thinknits just one of those things people have to say they like because they are in Texas. Like big red and Barbacoa here in SATX. I hate big red. To answer your question, I dont usually eat fastfood burgers. I generally choose chicken. I do occasionally eat at McD , sonic, BK, etc. When i want a burger i go to a real burger joint.
