So you were robbed by a cop. Doesn't surprise me. I am not saying all cops are bad.

    I was 21 or so
Running around on a summer night with a couple of military buddies
    No alchohol whatsoever
We were goofing around with some girls in another car.
    Laughing and just having fun.
Cops rode up behind us and pulled us over thinking he would get a DWI
He was downright disappointed to find no alchohol and as I got out he saw my tire buddy handle sticking out under my seat and if I recall right he told me it was a prohibited weapon and I could be arrested for it.

I was an Airman SP on the base and didn't really know the local laws well enough and I didnt want to have to call my 1st Sgt and bail me out.
So I let me take it, but it pissed me off and still does to this day.

No but I have one of these.
Not sure where I even got it from. Found it in my sock drawer when packing to move to Texas. View attachment 172347

That is a Cardsharp. I think they came out or got briefly popular around 2010-2011. The original ones by Sinclair were pricey compared to the knockoffs that only cost a few bucks. They are still around today.

That could be considered an illegal club. I was 13 and in martial arts and was swinging some nunchucks walking to my mom's apt. (good ones with ball bearings) and saw a DPD squad. I stick them in my waist band but too late and he takes me to my mom's apt. And let's me go but confiscates them. My uncle retired as a city employee in the property warehouse. 10years later, he tells me those were still sitting on the shelf.

Just a club, unlawful to carry on our about your person per penal code 46.02. There is an exception in 46.15 of the penal code for use during a lawful sporting event. A Martial Arts class would qualify.

I was talking about his tire knocker being a club. My Chuck's were also illegal and I was not in a class. I just found it funny they never destroyed them.

There are many stories I heard from waaay back about baseball bats, tire knockers, etc, being identified as clubs. They don't meet the definition unless adapted in some way for the purpose of inflicting serious bodily injury or death by striking a person with it.

Certainly a baseball bat, for instance, can do that, but it wasn't designed, made or adapted to do so unless modified in some way.

This law needs to change and I am glad the bill was introduced
