    She is STUPID.
PUPPETMASTERS RICH, HATE SCHEMING, CUNNING DANGEROUS LIBERTY VOTED OUT.

    yours, satx

    Unlikely.

The masochist in me loves getting flamed.
One of the surest ways to do so is to point out that most of AOCs New Green Deal are pretty good ideas.
They are package into a document that is nothing more that a pie-in-the-sky dream list.

    Mass rail transportation.
    Reducing Geenhouse gasses.
Promoting clean water and healthy diets.
    Making buildings more energy efficient.
    Making agriculture more efficient.
    And on and on.
So, to what do people object???

So much is clearly unaffordable musing over what might be.
    But.....
What part of the New Green Deal is a bad idea??
It's limiting problem is that it is rife with prohibitively expensive good ideas.

The most nonsensical allegation is that the New Green Deal is profoundly socialist.
I have yet to hear a clear explanation of what parts of it are socialist.

    :)

Her Green New Deal is a fûcking stupid idea, front to back. It's not that we shouldn't go Green, it's that we don't need a government (at any level) mandating that we go Green. And the fact is that companies are already falling all over themselves going Green--and that's just fine. It needn't be mandated. AOC should realize she's not quite ready for prime time.

All your bullet points are already being done and research towards even more is underway. It’s the scope of dystopian urgency and the she, and only she, will be the new Moses—to lead the un-Green masses to the PromisedUtopianWorkersGreenParadise.

We don’t need some twatterist declaring cow farts and jet aircraft as Public Enemy Numbers One & Two.

    Just silly claptrap and hyperbole.
The NGD was a non-binding wish list.

That nonsense gets repeated so many times that the gullible begin to believe it.

Cow farts are the perfect example.
The New Green Deal said nothing about cows. Zero!

Nor did it call to end air travel.

But how many of you think it did due to the oft repeated foolishness?

And you probably believe that the FAQ Document was a plant from the GOP. It has been admitted by Chakrabarti and AOC to have been authored by their own staff—and thus, genuine, albeit a draft. The fact that she would even float such ideas (cow fart elimination, air travel curtailment, guaranteed income for not working, etc.) signals that AOC is playing at being an actual grownup, much less a Congresscritter. And for anyone to believe that Professor Hackett is credible strains credulity.

    This^
AOC is, by design, nothing more than a hired actress playing a part.

Plausable until one recognizes the New Green Deal contained none of those things.

Fact checking is a skill we should all hone to a fine edge.
Reading is fundamental. It DID until the abuse reached such a crescendo that the draft was withdrawn and the twatterists retreated to their only mildly-muted twattery.

And what of the fact that AOC deems it appropriate/necessary to renovate or tear down every structure unless it’s “green” to her satisfaction . . . because otheise we all die?

This is from the FAQ her office put out to accompany the GND. Of course she walked some of it back later and blamed it on an unnamed staffer. No, it wasn’t in the actual document but this would be the official cliff notes from her office about the proposal.

Why 100% clean and renewable and not just 100% renewable? Are you saying we won’t transition off fossil fuels?

Yes, we are calling for a full transition off fossil fuels and zero greenhouse gases. Anyone who has read the resolution sees that we spell this out through a plan that calls for eliminating greenhouse gas emissions from every sector of the economy. Simply banning fossil fuels immediately won’t build the new economy to replace it – this is the plan to build that new economy and spells out how to do it technically. We do this through a huge mobilization to create the renewable energy economy as fast as possible. We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast, but we think we can ramp up renewable manufacturing and power production, retrofit every building in America, build the smart grid, overhaul transportation and agriculture, plant lots of trees and restore our ecosystem to get to net-zero.

    BTW

    I'm still waiting for something.

The N.G.D. was a fanciful wish list for America's future and never intended to be proposed legislation.

    My request for answers:

    1. What proposals of the New Green Deal are bad or ill concieved ideas??
Seems to me most or all are a great things to aspire to if we wish to continue to be our earth's best society.

    2. What portions of the New Green Deal drive us to socialism.
    This is questionable at best.
At worst, it's nonsense so oft repeated the people start to believe it has truth and credence.

    Please.
