I firmly believe that Gene Simmons would likely have become just about as successful, regardless of the field or industry he chose to pursue. I was 10 in 1977, and thought that Dr. Love and much of the rest of Rock N Roll Over was pretty danged amazing.

Of course, I also liked "Lick it Up," in 1987? So take the above fwiw
