    The.Other.Jared,

In my 72 years (at least in CONUS) & in over 3 decades of being "pinned to a badge", I've not had to actually shoot a single person.
(ImVho, IF you're a LEO & have been in a lot of shootouts, you're either working in a BAD, BAD area, where I wouldn't want to work and/or your scheme of LE tactics is poor. = I've taken numerous bad hombres into custody & W/O firing a shot.)

    yours, satx

Pocket Carry around the house or quick trip out the LCP II in a pocket holster. In the pocket of my athletic shorts when I jog too. Summer CC right now is an XDs .45. Normal carry right now is my Glock 19X.

I went through a lot of small (mostly single stack 9mm) guns. Kahr pm9, shield, xds, Glock 43. Got my p365 and stopped carrying all the others.

Keltec P32 in a Desantis U7 pocket holster and a spare mag in my back pocket. Fmj ammo. This is a real pocket gun. This fits virtually any pocket. No it’s not a 45 but it is a real pocket gun. It always goes bang. Priced right too.

For deep concealment and/or summer pocket carry, the Seecamp 380 is pretty hard to beat for size. I prefer something that will fit my hand, with a minimum of .380 caliber so the little .22's and .32's are out. A TCP is my choice (the LCP and P3AT fit the bill as well). Sig's 238/938 are nice, but I want something inexpensive in case I have to hand it over to the police later on. Plus, the 238 is also slightly larger than the TCP/LCP and the 938 is larger and heavier again. But, size and firepower are tradeoffs, otherwise we would pocket carry 12 Ga. shotguns.

This one: Seecamp .380. Mirror polished with Monitor Lizard grip panels.

I keep it loaded with Hornady XD. Extreme Defense copper will penetrate tough clothing but not overpenetrate like the XP Extreme Penetrator which could injure those behind the intended target. The Hornady ammo is very comfortable to shoot while just about any other is so snappy the trigger guard will bang the crap out of your trigger finger. My EDC is a Ruger LC9S Pro. When I wear tight clothing like a tank top the Seecamp has a smaller print.

Something that's easy to conceal in light clothing and comfortable to carry, is in a decent enough caliber, and is pretty shootable (manageable recoil, easy to shoot accurately at typical self defense ranges).

S&W M&P 380 Shield EZ - model without thumb safety - in a Wingman Holsters Original Wingman (IWB Wide Clip) with Concealment Wing.
Its called "EZ" for a number of very good reasons.

Does anyone else here have (or even recall) the R9 Rorhbaugh.

It is a magnificent little piece of firearm engineering.
    Tiny
    Reliable
$1200 + price was too much for its market and they went belly-up.
    Hand-made one at a time.

If you guys ever find one for sale grab it, as did I.

Love mine, though it's a rare oddity.

    Their tag-line was shoot-little/carry-always.
    Wise words?
