Was beginnin' to think y'all got swept down the river. My kin up that way was telling me about all the flooding going up in that direction. Guess it's a bit further to the east than you are though, if she was telling me correctly.

It is really bad up here. My boat docks are all underwater at the lake and some towns and rural areas are flooded pretty bad too. Supposed to get a couple days dry time then more rain. Six of us took off on our motorcycles last Wednesday and took a trip to TN. Seen all kinds of flooding between here and there. Y'all can quit sending that crap up here

What am I doing? Sitting on the porch with a cocktail, my (grown) son, and dog smoking ribs and enjoying a rare beautiful day in south central Texas.

He heads back to Ft Polk tomorrow, so I’m stopping to smell the roses.
