Me and a few buddies are looking for ranges in the dfw area. We have some pistols and rifles. So need to be able to shoot both. Maybe same day maybe not. Would prefer to bring our own ammo. Currently live in Irving, one lives in forney, another in frisco, another in arlington.

Where do you shoot in DFW?
What do you look for when choosing a "home" range?

    Thanks guys!

Our go to range is Eagle Gun Range in Farmers Branch, on Midway off Belt Line. We live in North Irving.
Handguns and rifles OK, but it's an indoor range with the max distance being 25 yards.

I have driven by a few times, going to eat at fogo. It always seems packed. When do you go? Do they have more room then it looks like?

Weekends seem to be packed, best day to go seems Monday evening. There are 24 lanes, check-in, rental and sales counters, several class rooms, and a work area to have small to medium sized gunsmithing jobs done.

Your Forney Friend would like it - TDSA Range 15min. South on I45 from Downtown. Len, owner, is ex DPD and a good guy. You can do a lot on the range as long as you are safe. During the week, not many there, and they have several bays. Longer range rife and steel range is a bit extra.

I use Garland Gun Range (outdoor range) on Pleasant Valley in Garland.

    50 & 100 yd rifle range

    20ish pistol lanes

A few clay throwers on the end.

No FMJ on the rifle range. $20 to join. $20 per day unlimited weapons and time.

Bulls Eye Range & Guns is near my house in Duncanville, I’ll go there sometimes. But they don’t allow rifle rounds, plus it’s a hole in the wall (which I don’t mind).

    Dallas Texas or so
This site has a map of Texas Gun Ranges but it isn't interactive or organized in any useful way that I can figure out.

We need a map and list that is intractive and organized by area city or county. Doing this is way beyond my digital skills.

I don't know if he's still doing it but Mickey Lowry who used to own Ammo Depot in Caddo Mills had a place on S. Belt Line, just south of the sewage water treatment plant, that he'd lease out. It was $300/year and full auto/fmj approved.

His son, Colt, owns the store now but last I heard Mick was still selling leases.

Lots of good times out there!

Rockwall Gun Club is now open to the public on a limited basis . Give them a call, they have just started issuing annual memberships for rifle and pistol also. It's a great place to shoot.

I think they are charging $15.00 all day to shoot rifle and pistol. That is the going rate for ranges in the area . Garland charges the same.

Colt is a good guy. I have shot on the pistol range at the store before and it was a very laid back experience
