    The Type B is a striker-fired 9mm pistol that features Glock standard dovetails, front and rear slide serrations, beavertail frame, flat-faced trigger, short reset trigger. All of these features provide a level of performance not commonly found in a production gun.

    Standard on the Archon Firearms Type B is an integrated flared magwell for enhanced reloading. All Type B pistols ship with FOUR 15 round Mecgar magazines.

    Proprietary grip mapping technology that is standard on the Archon Firearms Type B frame. This mapping technology providers the end users a richer ergonomic experience.

    What is behind the mag release?

    Thumb rest?

    From what I remember Archon telling me, it can be used as a thumb rest. But also, depending on how you grip the pistol, it serves to prevent the magazine being ejected. That little ramp provides a buffer so when gripping the gun, you don't fully depress on the mag release. However, when I personally grip the pistol, I don't have that issue.

    Yeah but I think the reason ZX9RCAM asked and I went to look for a pic was the little triangle thingy looked like it might be a movable push or toggle switch of some kind until the closeup showed it's a solid piece of plastic integral to the grip.
