I'm old. I grew up on revolvers. I do now have, and carry, plastic guns but they are, well, just plastic guns. Give me steel and wood. Many times i like dropping my old Smith & Wesson Model 36 in my pocket and a speed strip on my belt. I do not feel a bit under gunned.

I carry 1911's. I am just a far better shot with a 1911 than with anything else.

But I still really like the Ruger Security/Speed/Service 6 series. Rugged beauty, built like a tank. And the Ruger Alaskan .480 snubby is a blast.

My first pistol was a 1911, then it was replaced with a Browning Hi-Power and then after that replaced with a Beretta 92FS. All my pistols now are all metal, double+single action, with double stack magazines in .40 S&W, 9mm, and .380 ACP. I tried the plastic, striker fired pistols and they were a big flop for me for several major reasons. I can appreciate revolvers however even though I don't have one yet but I do plan on getting at least one for my firearms collection but I have not decided which one it will be. All I know at this point is that I want it to be a .357 magnum with a 5 inch barrel.
