    Sounds good.

Just for giggles ask him why it takes a year to get a form 4 approved

"Baby" strictly works on investigations & prosecutions. Spends a lot of time preparing evidence and testifying.

Sometimes he goes on the crime ring "roundup's".

One thing I'm learning is that it does no good to arrest the career BG's unless there is EVIDENCE to convict them with.

When has lack of evidence ever stopped the ATF?

I'm not crapping on your son. I too am proud of mine, 10 years in Army and reserves with 3 trips to Afghanistan and he works for the same Corrections department I used to. He is applying for multiple federal agencies but I told him the same thing, dont sully your name and rep by working for the ATF.

Maybe your son can make a difference.

BATFE did grow out of the revenue agents of yore.Their basic premise is that all gun owners are suspect. I put DPS in the same category, process cops out to earn money for the state.

We have plenty of threads we can legitimately bash the BATFE in.

Let’s check ourselves at the door of this thread with that line of conversation as LeVieux is passing along what his son, who happens to be an agent, is telling him.

Blanket statements about dog shooting and right’s stomping from the top down in that agency belong somewhere else.
Agree, but he does deserve to be made fun of for not just saying "youngest son" like a normal human being

He tells me that with Obama & Holder gone, the agency's entire focus has shifted to real criminals.

    We'll see. . . . . .

Isn't St Martinville where the Myrtles is located? Like that house

Though that sounds promising, it is really just an indicator of how flexible ATF is in enforcing laws and certain types of law.
We can talk about Waco and Ruby Ridge ad nauseum. Having worked with my fair share of Feds, FBI and ATF never impressed (though they were good shooters at competition). Secret Service and Marshals handled their business.
I wish your son the best. Most Fed agencies are seriously screwed up and he will have to learn to navigate thru all the BS while making cases and keeping his integrity. No easy task for those with principles.

"the Myrtles" is near Saint Francisville.

Here at Saint Martinville, we have the historic Olivier Plantation Home, in the Evangeline State Park on LA31 Highway.

There are numerous preserved antebellum plantation houses here, mostly along the Mississippi River. The nicest are "Houmas House" at Darrow, near Gonzales, and "Oak Alley" near Vacherie, LA.

My wife has forced me to tour almost every plantation house in LA. Only the Myrtles was informative and fun. The historical tour is better than the ghost tour.
