Big thanks to Stephen at Texas Rifle Works for helping me select the Barrett REC10 (16" .308) as my semi-auto 30cal rifle. He knows I have been tossing up ideas and a wide assortment of 30cal semi-autos for well over a year (maybe two) now. Primary roll for this rifle will be to hog hunt. Mainly around 100yds. Currently have a Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 but researching various other LPVO leaning towards a FFP 1-8. Night vision is a possibility in the future as well. I have a Harris bipod but after seeing and handling the AccuTac I might be making the costly investment for one. Will be running my Crux Nemesis30 suppressor as well. Can't wait to get out to the range and shoot it!

That's kind of cheap for what that rifle cost. Hell I put those on the rifle I gave my buddy who did A/C work for me 2 years ago hoping the pushed him into an optic.

I think it's a nice little bonus. Most rifles don't come with any sights. At least you can take this out of the box and shoot it right away. Are there "better" BUS available? Absolutely. But it's better than nothing.

It in the process of getting cerakoted now.

Hit a little bump though... The barrel nut is proprietary to Barret and therefore need a Barrett ($75) barrel nut wrench. Discussing options...

That makes sense maybe you can borrow one from another member here. Unfortunately I do not have one of those
