Lots of times bullies are really pussies.
They don't expect to get challenged....
Yep. As many have stated, both were jerks but I think this sends a bad message to legally armed citizens. The message is - don't challenge anyone or anything. Bullies and/or the govt. Do not want you to chanllenge them.......for your safety of course. Just STFU and accept the uncivil behavior if you know what is good for you.

His mistake was not just calling 911 and waiting over an hour to report a supposed illegal parking incident that had left long ago. You should not go to prison for being a jerk and pushing someone down on the cement is an iffy proposition on how much oxygen you will continue take in.

FX has this show called Mr. Inbetween and in the opening episode, he tells his daughter that bullies exist because no one confronts them. That is about right.

I figured this would be a scenario where you'd prefer a bench trial to a jury, but I guess his lawyers knew what his best chances were...

Don’t forget “the lady” being a jerk too! (For parking in the handicap slot, to begin with). Plenty of jerkiness to go ‘round. At least two of the three are no longer part of society (I consider that “a win”).

I am surprised this type of situation doesn't get more media attention by the anti gunners: It seems to me to be pretty clear that IF the shooter really felt there was an on-going threat of bodily harm after he was on the ground that it almost completely disappeared when he drew his gun and the pusher backed off. Of course, we can't tell from the shitty video if the shooter was super-woozy or disoriented at that point. If he was, he may have interpreted ANY movement by the pusher as aggressive and threatening, perhaps unable to tell if he was backing off vs closing the distance.

I think we might be surprised at how many people would have done exactly what the shooter did in that situation.

I think regardless of their past history of stupid mistakes, aggressive behavior and instigation, literally anyone who isn't disqualified from owning a firearm should own and carry, anywhere, but I also think that this exact situation would be far more common, for a while, if that were the case.

People interpret videos based on experience or lack of. Anyone who's watched people knocked to the ground and the attacker circling to stomp on the guy might see it that way. Other people see him walking away.

As far as the gun issue...
It doesnt fit their narrative. Back in the 80s when the antis wanted to ban all handguns they would be raising money on this. Remember they all think you should not carry and retreat first before being justified to respond.

Now days that position is a loser, non starter. Especially since so many anti handgun pols had ccw cards, lol frakking bastards. They still forget Americans hate hypocrisy.

So because they are dishonest assholes they pivot to evil black rifles and call an AR with a couple hundred rounds a mass killers arsenal, not what it really is which is 7 mags and 10 minutes at the range. Even though their original targets, hand guns, are used to kill way more people that rifles.

Dont worry though. If they ever do bann EBRs they will take the first chance to pivot back to handguns. Marxists communist socialist bastards. It's right out of the communist revolutionary playbook. How many times did they do it in the last hundred years?

Guy who pushed the shooter down was backing away when the idiot shot him. Gives all of us lawful carry proponents a bad name. The guy was itching to shoot someone. A word to the woman parked in the handicap space was appropriate but then he should have walked away. I hope they send that moron to prison for a decade at least.
