I have a MAADI Helwan so I thought I better get the original Beretta.

I don't see any difference but I have not tried to interchange parts. (I'm guessing the parts will interchange)

FFL03 so it shipped right to me. Nice condition. The top one is the Beretta.

IIRC the locking blocks are different and will not interchange.

Well the man that can answer that question is Wess13.

He is making the blocks so I am guessing the differences will be noted.

"When designing another surprising fact came to light, Egyptian made locking blocks are not interchangeable with Beretta made ones.
The wings of the Egyptian ones are 1MM longer that the Beretta made ones, I except this was done in an attempt to improve service life."

He posted about the product in August on this forum.

He also contacted me about replacement blocks I might need.

Let me know if you find fault with the fitting.

I received my Beretta M1951 9mm cross-bolt safety Italian Navy single-stack 8-round semi-automatic pistol. I too am a sucker for Berettas. I am seeking at least one spare magazine for the pistola. It seems that the M1951 is rare in the United States. Spare magazines are even rarer. Do the Egyptian, Israeli, or Iraqi models' magazines fit the original Beretta M1951? There are Egyptian magazines for sale on eBay but I don't want to spend the $$ for a magazine that won't fit and operate correctly,

Any definitive answers from the Texas Gun Talk crew chiefs?

I have the baby brother, a 32acp Model 70 with the cross bolt safety.

Have one of those as well. My mom gave it to my dad for his birthday in 1964. He carried it as a BUG when he was a State Trooper. I got it when he died. First handgun I ever shot and it is stupid accurate.

Another Beretta fan here as I have many Beretta pistols including the 1951. It's a great classic pistol but the locking block is the weak point on it and it is prone to breaking after about 5000 to 10000 rounds if I recall correctly. I don't fire mine as its not one of the police/military surplus ones and its in very good condition so its in my non-fired classics part of my collection.

The initial model 92's had a similar weak locking block until they released a stronger gen 2 locking block and then a gen 3 with a slightly redesigned barrel and new locking block which are rated for use for up to about 20000 to 30000 rounds. The blocks will develop cracks so you can generally catch them before they break and replace them. Carefully inspecting the locking blocks at every cleaning session is what I do with all my model 92's.

    To All,

WELL H. = I found this thread, LUSTED after a Navy model & went to the site with C&R license to discover that the pistols are ALL SOLD OUT.
(I was also "a day late & a dollar short" on the Beretta Model 92S pistols.= Ordered/paid for a Carbinieri pistol & IMPATIENTLY awaited its arrival at my house. = 5 days later, I got a letter from the vendor, which told me that my order had been accepted but that they could not fill the order & thus I was having my money refunded. = !@#$%!)

    yours, satx

Well, that sucks! If you find another vendor for a C&R model, please let me know.
