You don’t need no stinking safety. Just treat it like you would a Glock hahaha.

    Nice gun.

    Welcome to the forum.
Where about in South Texas will you be doing your shooting? Can suggest ranges (maybe).

Going to try and stay close to home, I am about 30 minutes Southwest of Houston in Fort Bend County. There is a range about four miles from the house, I just need to stop in some time and get their info.

Good deal! If you get to a point where you are ready to shoot any matches, let us know. They are really fun and there is a range called Area 59 outside Rosenberg that does those.

You could research “Steel Challenge” and see if you might want to do those someday. It’s a good way to meet people and make friends who also shoot.

Thanks for the info! I've heard of that place as well as G2G on highway 59. I actually live just outside of Rosenberg. Probably going to be awhile before I get to that point, I need lots of training and experience. :weights:

Those matches are VERY noob friendly. Little kids shoot them sometimes. That’s how I got into shooting, my kids would shoot those matches where I was still at the point with shooting to where I would hand my preteen my firearm and say “Clear this jam for momma.”

Main thing is you need a pistol of any caliber but at least the size of a Glock 19, or a .22 rifle or 9mm carbine, and about three or four mags depending on round capacity.

They are great fun to improve your skills!
