The Texas Senate Committee on "Mass Violence Prevention & Community Safety" will meet to discuss their string of upcoming meetings and hear invited testimony from governmental agencies.

Please attend if possible to have a pro-gun presence in the room. This is your chance to draw a line in the sand and stand up for your liberties. The "Mommies" will be there in all their red shirted glory. Wear a dark navy or black shirt and pack the first rows of the hearing room.

Sounds like those women are among Biden’s 720 million women that need to go back into the workforce.

Also, I would think white hats would send a better message, but that’s just me.

That was a difficult day. Trying to sit quietly and respectfully while listening to hours and hours of stupid and biased questions and testimony had me wishing the Capitol Grill served hard liquor. Hardest part for me was hearing Houston Dem John Whitmire expound upon his 47 years holding elected office and calling for Texas DPS to be the POC for background checks, no matter what it costs. Maybe because it's not his money?

When this dog and pony show rolls around again with a chance for public testimony, y'all need to be there and speak up.

Dogbone - you get to say anything? I had one on one with 5 of the red shirt gals who have never held a gun. Didn't know what a safety was. One didn't want her daughter in fl to get shot - while talking in Tx.

How can we legislate morality so people don’t raise shitbags for kids (who then grow up to be shitbags)?

That’s the root of the problem IMHO

Reinforce the curriculum to include comprehensive civics classes. Have pledge of allegiance every morning. And, make everyone stand. Bring back corporal punishment. Regularly recognize the 5 major service branches and their relationship to the freedoms we have. Make everyone leave their cell phone at the door of each classroom when they enter. If you want to live in the USA adhere to USA customs. Run the school the way Texas did when Texas had not yet been infiltrated by liberals.

Thanks for trying to reach out to the opposition. I'll have plenty to say once they start the hearings with public testimony but my interactions at this hearing were limited to some quiet conversations with those sitting near me. Both turned out to be the kind of transplants Texas needs, Liberty lovers who fled New York and Minnesota. Biggest win for me was seeing another person from my tiny town there. We will be meeting up to plot Freedom.

I missed this.. who ran it?

This was the first hearing by the Senate Select Committee on Mass Violence Prevention and Community Safety. The hearing was chaired by Senator Joan Huffman.

While I will do my best to create a thread about upcoming hearings in Austin, you may want to sign up for the alert lists of a few 2A groups to be sure you get the word in time to make it to the hearings.
