During the Korean War, future astronaut and congressman Major John Glenn was a USMC fighter pilot with three MiG kills to his credit. All three victories happened with Glenn at the controls of a USAF F-86F Sabre while he was an exchange officer with the 25th Fighter Interceptor Squadron/51st Fighter Interceptor Group of the US Air Force. Before his third MiG kill, he was overheard complaining that there weren't enough MiGs in the air for his tastes. He woke up the next morning to find that the Air Force ground crew had painted "MiG Mad Marine" on the side of his aircraft in red and gold paint.

Before his exchange tour, he flew 63 combat missions with Marine Corps Fighter Squadron VMF-311 "Tomcats" in an F9F Panther, earning the nickname "Old Magnet Ass" for the way he would fearlessly attack ground targets no matter how much anti-aircraft fire he encountered, and how many holes it put in his jet.

Elephants are the only animal to have four forward-facing knees. All other four-legged animals have at least one pair of legs with knees that face backwards.
Wow, I always thought that deers, dogs etc hind legs had knees facing forward and the backwards joint were ankles and the feet were toes and first pad.
I'm old but I can still learn new things.
    Woof.

They do - their joints are just like ours. Hips to knees to rather extended ankles. On the forelegs, the major joint is what on a human would be the elbow, and it's up close to the torso. Then down by the paws/hooves is the "wrist", which could be mistaken for a forward bending "knee" but isn't.

A long ago effort at political correctness:
In response to increasing unhappiness with the description "Hillbilly" music and "Race" music by the performers of said music, BillBoard "invented" the terms "Country & Western" and "Rhythm & Blues" as replacement names in their June 25, 1949 publication. This info is from part 3 of 8 of the PBS series "Country Music" currently showing on your PBS channel.

According to a Barrett-Jackson talking head (this recent weekend auction), the reason so many Ford hot rods (example 1934 model) were rebuilt using Chevy V8 engines is because the oil pickup was at the back of the sump on Chevy, making installation of the bigger-than-original motor much easier than with the front-of-the-sump-located oil pickup on a Ford engine.
    ETA: Although here
https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...still-build-fords-use-chevy-eng-trans.792201/ the tendency toward Chevy is attributed to Ford's in-the-way water pump.
