The problem I have with many road cyclists is that they cry "We have just as much right to the road as a car!" Yet they don't abide by the rules of the road for a car. And they want special treatment.

Riding bikes on a two lane road with a 12" shoulder in a 60 mph zone is just plain stupid in my book. Just because you have the right do do something doesn't mean it is a smart thing to do.

Isn't this what some antigun folks and anti-OC folks say to us?
The difference is the anti-2A's are wrong in their assessment of what is "smart".

If anyone thinks riding a bicycle on a two lane road with only 12" shoulders where traffic is going 60+ mph truly is smart, well...

I never said I agreed with it, I don't believe bicycles should be on any road where the speed limit is over 30 mph. But I don't decide where they ride, and I'm not trying to deny anyone their right to ride their bicycle wherever they see fit. And I absolutely hate anytime a cyclist gets in the lane of traffic and slows everyone down.

My post was about your statement of:
T Just because you have the right do do something doesn't mean it is a smart thing to do.

Now I'm waiting for someone to post "think of the children".

Think of my children. Because they are going to hear me pour out a stream of obscenities while those spandex wearing douchebags clog up morning traffic in Plano.
