Happy Veterans Day to all active duty and fellow Veterans may you all partake in the freebies that you so deserve. I did my service between 66-78 partially at the end of the Viet Nam War which ended in 75. I was lucky the closest I was to Nam was Guam (dang that almost rhymes) during Linebacker 2 and Bulletshot after which they moved 200 bombers from Guam to the US mainland when the Yom Kippur War started in 73.

It would be interesting to hear from other vets and there service. Hopefully there are still a lot of WWII and Korean War Vets out there and other wars and conflicts. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SERVICE

Unfortunately, my class As no longer exist. One remaining fatigue shirt - but it fits. That's my dad's pic on the wall at viewers left, FIL on right, my 2 boys in the center.
Have a good Vet Day folks.

It would be interesting to see how many here have served. Statistically I believe less than 3% ever serve. The general public really doesn't care about veterans and neither do the politicians. Served 1972-1980, signed up with a friend and we did everything the same, he went to Thailand for unknown mission and they sent me stateside. Who can figure? Separated as O-5. I get to put veteran on my DL and that's about it but I don't want much more for service spent. God bless all those that have and are serving.

1974 - 1978 USAF. I was so dumb I didn't know the war was still on. But my Mom sure did. Saigon fell while we worked the Baby-lift and lost a C5 Galaxy at Travis AFB. And a couple months later I was in Thailand. Stayed long enough to close Udorn RTAFB in 1976. Sad times. Then they sent me to SAC. That helped me decide not to stay in. Got a 2 week early out for Christmas and never looked back. Happy Veterans day everybody.
