Ok. Was just looking for what got him the axe. Looks like y’all cleaned it up pretty good.;)
Nothin to see really. He attacked a couple of members and was wayyyy out in left field with his colorful metaphors (homage to StarTrek). I was one of em and to be honest I wasnt even upset, he was kinda like a guy that falls off his meds or something is wrong.

I appreciate what the mods wlll/wont tolerate around here.

The individual was suffering enough that he felt this was his only course of action was to end his life. While it's tragic for Mission Ridge that he chose to do so at their range (for whatever reason), we still should be sympathetic to anyone that has gotten to this point in their life and doesn't realize there are better options...
I don't see it that way. I see it as a self centered narcissist who can't cope with life and wants to make a final F U. To everyone.

Some of the nasty replies in this thread lend toward my belief that besides a like button there should be a dislike button for each post. Some of you are truly insufferable and nasty arsehats but I suppose that is easy enough to remedy by putting you back on my ignored list from which I should never have removed you.
And put a check mark by their name too, like 3 grade teachers do after putting your name on the board for being bad. That will teach them.

Shooting your self to death? No imagination in that. No style or flair.

Back in Phoenix there used to be a big pawn shop downtown called the Jewel Box with guns tools and sharp things, all items could be used to kill your self.

One day a guy walks in and passes the guns and ammo etc and goes to the tool section. He asked for a power outlet to try out a skill saw before he bought it and the manager pointed to one at the end of the table on the floor.

The guy plugged the skill saw in and proceeded to attempt to cut his own head off! I sheit you not. He almost succeeded in decapitation as he started in front and pushed all the way to his spine in an instant and then fell dead.

Now that's style, Memorable and flair. This happens in the 70s and people still talk about it. Shoot yourself and meh. Cut your own head nearly off and get full points for effort planning dedication and execution. No pun intended

Dark humor is how people deal with dark experiences. It says nothing about anything or anyone except that.

An acquaintance of mine, a couple years out of high school, became distraught when a girlfriend broke up with him.

He crawled under the Christmas tree at his parents house and chewed on the barrel of a .270.

I guess if I ever decide to kill myself, I better walk way off into the middle of some national park, bed down, and swallow a bottle of pills. After all, I wouldn't want to offend any of the still-living such as yourself.

I would be grateful if you dug your shallow pit first too.

When you act like a third grader - you should be treated like a third grader.
Well, I would avoid the command bend over a grab your ankles. My third grade teacher loved to say that before the wind up so she didnt accidentally hit your back with the cricket bat she called a paddle.

I dont think it means the same thing anymore.

I figured I should be out in the open where the carrion eaters will have less of a problem finding me. But, hey, if you want a pit then a pit it is.
Nah, I would say the whole circle of life thing.

Of course some might say after the pills you were poisoning the carrion eaters. So there’s that. Or poisoning the ground if not encased after the pills. Definitely first world problems.

Now see, that's taking the selfish bastard out of suicide. I wish everyone was so considerate, the world would be a better place. No more ruining furniture or flooring in a home as well as making it hard for the family to continue living there.

Yep, that would be preferred. It is not about "offending" me. It is about your inability to function in life and your willingness to cause those that care about you so much pain because of your selfishness and bad choices.
