Acevedo is a huge anti-gun anti private ownership of firearms person. He screams about new laws and of course it is always about protecting cops. The facts are that no law will stop someone who is a criminal from committing crimes. It might stop a normally law abiding person, but under the wrong circumstances even they will break existing laws.

This guy had a long criminal history murdered the officer. Depending on the facts, he may already have been prohibited from gun ownership due to a misdemeanor family violence conviction. SO many laws broken, I challenge Acevedo to create a law that will stop someone from breaking a law, just because..

So he doesn't really know then....But don't let that ruin it for the media to run a headline stating it did.

“The discovery of the noted penetration will require expert analysis of the ammunition used by the suspect to determine if it was designed to penetrate ballistic vests,”.......... “Moreover, in an abundance of caution, the vest will be further examined to determine if it performed to the manufacturer’s specifications."

What level of protection did the vest provide? Is that with or without plates? Since the HOD foundation wants donations to purchase Level 4 over-vests so that means Level 3a or 3 at best is the issue. While 3a or 3 vests provide decent protection, they only provide some protection of some areas.

Oh come one now that would be easy to create. Let's see, you are convicted of murdering someone - you get the death penalty - that will stop you from ever breaking the law again just because you are dead. I should be in politics.

I suppose the vest was also "potentially penetrated" by a meteorite. Or a Nerf dart.

I had a feller one time boasting that his vest would stop 12 ga slugs. I told him it'd stop a freight train too, in terms of penetration, but he shouldn't stand in front of one.
