Prepare to be flamed for using CTD.
They can flame all they want; I guess if someone wants to flame me he or she has nothing better to do. I am willing to bet that anyone who would flame me for shopping at CTD does business with outright RKBA enemies that support gun control like: Credit Karma, Reddit, The GAP, Levi Strauss, Twitter, UBER, Yelp or some of many others.

I stopped shopping at CTD for years after their price gouging on ammo but recently figured it was long enough since they went back down in prices and seemingly got real again. It's not like they are Dick's - at least not yet so I gave them a second chance. Come to think of it I gave Dick's a second chance and they screwed up on that I have stopped shopping there altogether because they are dicks.

Anyway, as it is, I shop where I want, when I want - they can shop where they want when they want. Isn't the USA great in the free market regard!

The gouging was just bad customer service, but what really got me was their support for the Toomey-Manchin universal background check bill. They also pulled a lot of firearms from their site right after Sandy Hook. They are like Dicks.

Cancelling yet to be fulfilled orders to raise the prices an astronomical amount on the same item didn't help their case either. They're snakes.

I must admit, someone told me about that and I forgot about it; however, as I recall (and my little gray cells are not as sharp as once they were) CTD stated they were not in support of that act as I recall and had documentation to show for it. I seem to recall checking that the last time someone told me of the Toomey-Manchin universal background check bill (that I think was on this site).

Here is a link reference that Twoomey-Manchin thing and CTD: https://www.ammoland.com/2013/04/cheaper-than-dirts-support-of-the-second-amendment-questioned/#axzz67jsOu43c

Ah yes, I did do some research last time someone mentioned to me that CTD supported Toomey-Manchin. Please note the name of the person who posted the linked piece at Ammoland, his name appears right underneath the title on the reader's left hand side. Case closed as far as I am concerned on that issue. They may still have been be scum as far as price gouging went but I have given them a second chance; hopefully they will not go back to their shitty ways if another ammo crisis arises.

On the CTD thing I ordered my Hellcat OSP from them before I saw all the bad stuff the price was not bad surely not as bad as some other places I looked. I paid for it Tuesday and was at my FFL the next day in the afternoon.

My death knell for me was an email after obummer was elected that showed used GI AR mags for $120. I had just bought some less than a month before for $8. Same. Exact. Mags.

Never again. I spent appx $2K a year with them.

As much as I dislike this thread turning into a conversation, I gotta agree. Same email, same sentiment. And done. Used to spend a good bit with them myself. I expect that kinda behavior from a neckbeard hawking ammo outside a gun show. Not a "good Texas business"
