    Thanks.
and oh, yeah, cut TC some slack!
    Never! :)

Seriously, though, I have no end of respect for the folks who make great custom T/Cs. They can be beautiful and accurate and I can understand why you like them. You've shared them on this board and I thank you for that.

But can it make a satisfying substitute for mashed potatoes?

Absolutely, most folks I serve this to prefer it over mashed potatoes, the key is seasoning:

Cut back to 75 g of carbs per day. Lost a few pounds. Glucose levels back in normal range.

Trying a natural supplement which is supposed to lower glucose levels for some folks, will find out in about five months if it is doing anything.

On a similar note, I recently was able to reduce my blood pressure meds from 4 pills a day to 1 pill a day. Last night I took one just to be safe, but I was only 131/81.

I had some health issues back in the fall/winter, and had to get on BP meds. Got past all the medical issues. With my wife gone I have to do the home finance stuff. Noticed I was paying for a gym membership, so I got them to change it to my name.

Worked with a personal trainer 4 times, and been working out on my own. I think that has everything to do with being able to reduce my intake of meds.

More energy, better mental outlook, feel better. Planning to make it a habit.

I've used Keto in the past to lose weight. It's always been successful, however keeping it off is the real struggle.

Two months ago I went to the Doctor for my first checkup in a very long time. At the time I wasn't eating Keto and I was just trying to maintain my weight by regulating how much I ate.

After getting the blood work back, my blood glucose was just below the diabetic range and my A1C was right there as well. He diagnosed me as Pre Diabetic and advised me to lose weight.

Since then, I went on a strict Keto diet, worked out with my kettlebell and cut out Alcohol completely for 6 weeks. I've lost 40 lbs, my blood pressure is normal, and I've been checking my blood sugar in the mornings and it's normal as well. I'm now no longer "obese" and I have added back in Low Carb Tortillas in the morning and moderate alcohol consumption on the weekends.

Now I just have to figure out how to maintain it, especially when I start traveling for work again.

    Are you still taking it?
    Yep.

    Berberine

    From WebMD
A chemical found in several plants including European barberry, goldenseal, goldthread, Oregon grape, phellodendron, and tree turmeric. Berberine is most commonly taken by mouth for diabetes, high levels of cholesterol or other fats (lipids) in the blood (hyperlipidemia), and high blood pressure.

    Well done!

Same story ... A1C 5.1 in Feb this year.

272 to 192 ... counting carbs, ignoring calories, climbing the hills with the pup, and staying active.

Keep track of carb intake, but pay more attention to total, not net, carbs.

While I'm particular about vegetables, I like spinach, mushrooms, asparagus, cauliflower and tomatoes. But I'm a meat eater first and foremost, so it is easy for me to mix and match those with beef, chicken, pork and seafood and never look back.

No junk food, all real, natural, unprocessed food.

I now eat pretty much like I did for the first 42 years of my life, and two meals a day.

    Works for me, YMMV ...
