    Friends,

    I'm in San Antonio.

I am seeking a complete & "serviceable" synthetic stock set for assembling a G3 rifle from a "parts kit".

IF you have a BLACK or OD GREEN stock set that is surplus to your needs, please respond with PHOTOS & requested PRICE in 1st response to: K3CSA@yahoo.com

Note: I would also trade for a full set of wood furniture from a CETME rifle, IF a member wants to build a replica of the Spanish service rifle.

    baboon,

I don't have that kind of bucks to buy a new set for275.oo.

I hear that a lot of rifle-assemblers want WOODEN furniture on their rifle & do NOT like the synthetic furniture.
(I'm hoping to find a unneeded set that's be "set aside".)

These just popped up for sale at Apex. If you are interested in going in on the order together, it would be $31 each shipped.
I'll place the order, we can meet when they come in and you can pay me then.

Assembly with Handguard and Grip, Green, *Good*-$37 shipped.

    Southpaw,

    NEAT IDEA. = DO IT.
(IF you want my check now, PM me your address & I'll put it in the mail tonight.)
IF you have a "choice", I would like a LONG butt-stock, given my "longer than average arms".

Btw, I'm a "wrong handed guy", too.

    Southpaw,

Fyi, my "sort of a G3"/frankenrifle will be painted flat black (with epoxy appliance paint) with my "new to me" green furniture. =That "color combination" may please nobody but ME but I have no plans to ever sell it, so that's on me, as I am the LEADING EXPERT on MY choices whether right or wrong.
(I find it "somewhat interesting" that a considerable percent of G3/PTR owners are junking the synthetic furniture & putting wooden CETME C furniture on.)

    Out here by the lake!
I bought my very first H&K back in the late 70's. Back then black plastic was the way they came. The slimline forend for the bipod was the upgrade I went with.

When I bought my Fleming H&K 51 it came with the A3 stock. Never really cared for it but still have it. Seeing as the 51 barrel was shot out I upgraded the gun to G3K & put a club foot stock & a B&T railed forend.

The wood stocks never really appealed to me as they seemed mostly beat up surplus for many years.

    baboon,

I've seen SEVERAL G3/CETME rifles with nice-looking wooden stocks & fore-ends but they don't look suitable for a "working military rifle" to me.
(ONE had a stock with more stripes than the average tiger & with a great finish BUT just not "my cup of tea" on a G3.)
