With all the hype this march is receiving on Fox News and in Drudge and other news outlets, and what the stupid governor of VA saying I don't know if it is possible for it to be peaceful. Look what nbc says about the upcoming rally. Guns rights activists, white supremacist's and militia will be marching and that is the first sentence.

They are walking into an ambush.

This event is actually causing me worry. Praying this event concludes without incident. It's disturbing that the right to peacefully protest is NOT available to everyone.

Yesterday, I was helping clean wreaths from the DFW Veterans Cemetery, thinking these brave men and women didn't sacrifice their lives just to have our civil rights stomped on.

Now I don't care much for white supremacists, or any other racist groups for that matter, but what is never talked about in regards to Charlottesville is what precipitated the violence there. Now I'm not going to argue who killed the young woman, but had Antifa not shown up dressed and many armored for a fight, I doubt many would even remember the rally in Charlottesville.

Either the Gov and AG rescind their stupid law or Law abiding Virginians protest and resist while armed. Any violence that occurs will be the fault of the Gov.
Tired of hearing "it looks bad" or people saying citizens should not revolt. Start in Virginia and stop with the House in DC.

From what I recall, if the government hadn't refused to take any action against the violent leftists, declared the peaceful gathering of conservatives to be an "unlawful assembly", and funneled them through concentrations of their violent leftists by blocking off other streets, there probably would not have been significant violence. They wanted a violent story to push the narrative, and they made sure they got it.

Remember that Trump got crucified just for saying "We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides".
The media had already painted Antifa and leftest protesters as righteous, even though they were the ones that started the violence. I hate that I defend racists, but they are the ones that had a legal right to protest that day.

I'm going to be glued to my computer tomorrow, monitoring every news source I can find coming out of Virginia. Anybody else planning on doing the same?

If so, post your links in this thread.
    Yep.
Honestly, I'm more afraid of this than I am, or have been, of foreign or domestic terrorism.
Nobody is backing down. This is Bundy ranch on steroids.

I kind of wonder if the Bundy Ranch thing may have been a test run to see what they could get away with as much as anything. You would think they would learn.

There are several phone apps like 5-0 Radio that allow you to listen to events in Richmond. I have downloaded one, but so far I hear nothing but squelch breaking. Well, it's still early. Frequency is 145.560 Mhz. Also, you can access this frequency on broadcastify.com on a PC.

Mrgunsngear is in Richmond. I think he plans to post You Tube videos throughout the day.

Honestly, I feel guilty for not being there.

Had I known feelings would ramp up this highly, I would have planned to be there. I do not expect, nor do I seek violence, but I would gladly stand along side all the other peaceful protesters.

    Know the feeling

Our forum here in the Carolinas has people on the ground in Richmond. No numbers but they are saying a lot of people in town for this. Last night they were reporting loss of cell phone signal for up to 20 minutes at a time. Testing a shutdown?

I'll update what info that I can today.
