So I have a pickup I want to sell. Where have you had the best luck advertising a vehicle for sale? I haven't tried to do that through an ad for at least 15 years and there were only a few places then. Now I get a long list - some free, some not - and I need some advice.

    Before someone asks: 2014 F150 XLT, 5L V8, 89k miles, The Woodlands

I did drop an ad on Woodlands Online, but the first contact I got looks like a total scam. Wants to pay via PayPal and have a service pick it up. No name, etc. Probably some boiler room in Pakistan.

Check out the car vending machine folks, Carvana. You enter the license plate and state. It finds your vehicle, asks a few questions liek mileage and condition. Hit enter an hte price pops up. If you like they will come pick it up and hand you a check on the spot. Usually your get dealer trade in value.

So you get the crap trade in price without the tax benefits of trading in.
    I think I’ll pass.
