    Only six?
Someone needs to make a video comparing a Marylander's first tamale with a Texan's first steamed hard crab.

    dogbone,

The crab cakes made by the church ladies of the AME church in Scotland, MD are about 6" in diameter & about an inch or more thick. = All crab meat, a "touch of" finely chopped onions, spices & just enough egg to keep them together, while they are being cooked.
(I nearly was foundered by my own gluttony that day.)

    yours, satx

IMHO, it sends a strong message when a county passes a 2A sanctuary declaration. Remember, VA was solid red until this last election. They, like so many others elected to not vote and with a little jerrymandering, the dims took their state. Things here are changing - we could face the same situation as VA. So I say the time is now to pre-empt and do whatever is needed to get good people to vote!

    Van Zandt County
As of the Dec 23rd Van Zandt County Commissioners Court regular meeting the county has joined the ranks of 2A Sanctuary Safe Havens. They changed County to Safe Haven but the entire resolution points out that violations of the 2A or the State Constitution (worded the same as 2A) will NOT be enforced.

I am a refugee from MD. The entire State is a vassal of NY.
First question my new neighbor asked was "did you bring at least 2 guns per person?" "At least 5 times that number I said." Proud to be born again as a Texan!

Do we have a list of the counties that have already established as 2A sanctuaries?
    This might help:

Actually, after a closer look I noticed that map is dated and does not include some of the specific counties mentioned by other posters. Sorry, but maybe only a starting point for the effort. You can find current national county maps with a web search, however.

I really like Collin county judge Chris Hill's take on the whole 2A sanctuary county question. The Second Amendment is certainly very important to me, but so is the Constitution as a whole. Government officials take an oath to uphold the Constitution, therefore there shouldn't really be a debate about upholding the 2nd Amendment. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a crime for being an oath breaker in today's society.

So true. I think of this reality often.
I guess until we return to being a Nation of Laws we will have to remind the oath takers that if they shirk the oath, they get voted OUT.

Great. Maybe this will inspire Collin county where I am at which is right next to Fannin to do the same.
From what I understand, Collin County is a Constitution Reaffirmation County. Meaning they support the Constitution as written.

I am impressed by how many counties (as well as states) are declaring themselves 2A Sanctiaries.

    It's really growing, yall.

Good to see more counties coming on board with the sanctuary movement. I live in Travis county... I'm not sure it will ever come on board - I'll probably have to move out to one of the surrounding counties at some point.

Now there is a state reciprocity agreement on the move: https://ballotpedia.org/Multi-State_Reciprocity_Agreement

Texas needs to get in on this IMHO
That's called "full faith and credit" and is in the constitution too.
