My LGS was not able to complete my NICS check yesterday but they did this morning and I was able to pickup my pistol mid day today. Thankfully I did not have to wait many days.

Well he is the only FFL I know of who got that. Probably an error. Nobody else is reporting this from the FFL community.
Nobody? We have 10 checks pending with a 4/15 Brady date. We've also gotten many proceeded immediately. And we even had one get denied after about 3 days. I'm on a dealer-only forum and this all started on about 3/18. They went from 3 days to 4/15. It's not 30 days, it's 4/15. Must have to do with a date for the government offices being reopened.

Incidentally, we have guns and ammo in stock. We're sold down pretty low but just got 8 more P365s in stock and have a lot of consignments and trade ins too. Have a few Caniks coming in. Have some AR receivers still. Even having some reloading powder.

Sure, everything is down. But it's not out. For some reason people think Academy is the only place that sells ammo. I heard they'll have 100 people in line and the first 20 people wipe out whatever new stuff they got in. Meanwhile, 2 miles away, we have the same stuff they're looking for.

As for delays, this should be the impetus for getting your LTC! No waiting on checks. I'd say 40% of our checks are getting delays when it's normally 10%.

    Welcome to last week.

    It's not 30 days, it's 4/15.

Again you are over a week late, and your 30-day beef is not with me but V-Tach:

Some NICS checks are taking up to 30 minutes.........If you get delayed....expect a 30 day wait.............this started yesterday........

Must have to do with a date for the government offices being reopened.

Well Texas offices are open, so the wait is 3 days by Federal Law. It is a mystery number.

There is no law prohibiting me from transferring the arms after 3 business days. The FBI has asked us to wait. I am complying with their request.

If other FFL's decide not to, I'm ok with their decision, they should be ok with mine...

Hence why I point out he is a week late to the discussion. Lots has changed since then.

Firs time I have ever seen major distributors like RSR SOLD OUT of every Glock pistol and Mag.

    I am down to a single Glock 19 Gen3.

    RSR still hasn't shipped orders I made 1 week ago........I can understand.....to a point....

FFL's are being advised to comply with BATFE's request by folks like the NSSF (National Shooting Sports Foundation) and others while they attempt to get an answer out of the BATFE of why the delays and a legal determination.....

I have a friend who got delayed Saturday who holds an active C&R license.....

It sucks for a lot of folks....best advice is to get your LTC after this over and keep it current.....

I'm very disappointed that my FFL has elected to hold my rifle till 4/15. If this is merely a request by the ATF and not actual law then just get on with it. Sheesh.
If you want to spend the $$$ defending your self being the test case, then by all means get your FFL and ignore the regulating agency’s guidelines.
It is kind of like if you are in construction and have all of your permits in place, crews ready to work, all inspections complete and materials at the ready and a semi retarded code enforcement prick comes to your job site and tells you you can’t start because of something he is not sure about on your permit. Are you going to say” screw that halfwit, as soon as he leaves start pouring/digging/building?
