An interesting legal opinion for those of you who believe a virus is not sufficient reason to flush our Constitution down the toilet.

I haven’t read that yet, but one thing is clear: the Warren Court set precedent that no emergency births new powers to the federal level or to the states.

States exercising expanded police powers related to a public health emergency must keep in mind they have to show compelling evidence of the public good when broad directives limit individual rights.

From a rights point of view, I am more concerned I could never walk into 7-11 and buy an M16, than I am concerned now I cannot get a seat in a restaurant. YMMV.
    My mileage does vary.

The governments are bankrupting business owners and putting millions out of work without adequate justification. I am just as concerned with the rest of the Constitution as I am with the Second. Any piece gets removed and the whole thing falls apart.

Zero phucks given for any restaurant that put up an 06/07, which is a lot of them.

I understand the concept behind the whole government shutting things down, and like socialism, it sounds all nice and pretty on paper, but I think the problem here is, all the "experts" are basing their opinions on places like NYC that would consider everyday life in Texas way too social distanced for their taste.

But on a positive note, traffic has been much better lately.

It is a good read and she brings up some very good points. Some I have wondered about myself.

    I must be blind.

I wonder if that's an affirmative defense...

Other than hospitals, I can only recall seeing one 30.06.

    Occasional 30.07, but pretty rare.
Of course im joking as I would never violate any sign saying anything is verboten.

Funny thing, I think I've said this before, I had a Dr office connected to a hospital. One door had a '07 sign. Another door 30 ft away had no sign. Both went to the same lobby.

I'm sure some tard feels much safer now.

    Signs signs everywhere a sign.

Interesting take from Joe on this...trading freedom for safety is something folks take too lightly.
