I need someone in the Terrell / Kaufman area to replace an upper receiver on an AR-15 that won't charge an arm and leg to do it. I currently have a new complete upper receiver on order.

Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Are you not saying, simply popping the two pins and exchanging?

I am not saying popping the 2 pins and exchanging.

I need someone to remove the barrel from the upper receiver and install it on a new receiver.

    Ahh I hoped so...
I can’t help with recommendations but I can tell you it’s as simple as buying a barrel nut wrench. Ensure proper head spacing and torque it down

Are you mechanically inclined at all? A barrel swap is fairly easy, although done right it take maybe two tools and a headspace gauge that would be good to have anyways.

Yes, I know that it is simple but I don't have a vise, receiver block, 1 3/16" crows foot wrench and torque wrench.

Yes, I am very much mechanically inclined.

I don't think that the headspace would need to be checked since the same bolt and barrel will be used.

My new upper receiver came yesterday. I was sure hoping that someone could suggest someone in my area to switch it out for me.
