Checked mine and were okay. Thanks for the info. I had one of their electric chain saws. Cut good but when you released button it wouldn't stop running. Ended up with a recall too. Got a new one.

I used to keep 16" pieces of 2x8s and 4x6s in my truck. If they will hold a 16'x80' mobile home, they will hold my truck up.

    Well... hell.

I have to take my set back.
Mine are over 3 years old, and I only own them because I was in a pinch at the time.
Thankfully I am not dead because I used these quite often.

Maybe I can use the gift card to buy a safety harness... lol

its not like every manufacturer has had recalls for safety

I will just leave this one here for the hell of it.

I see what you're saying. Everyone has recalls and mistakes. I'm not denying that, there just seems to be a significantly greater number at Harbor Freight than from the back of the snap-on truck.

I have an analogy that will help most of us in this forum put it into perspective a little.
Let's say you have an AR for your Home Defense rifle. Do you have the cheapest russian steel cased ammo you can find in it or something significantly better? Why?

What ammo are you carrying in your EDC? Some hand loads you got from a friend of a friend that just started reloading, or some name brand HP ammo that you've watched all the expansion and penetration tests on youtube? Why?

Because when it comes down to the potential to cause death or serious bodily injury, you are playing the odds and using what has a better chance of not going wrong.
