I always thought 45GAP was for people with small hands to be able to say they have a .45The 45 GAP was just a stupid idea, but the .327 Fed has a small cult following and is still a thing.

And the best caliber of all is 45>9mmExactly what we need! Another caliber! I still like the 30-30, 7.62x39, 45 Colt, .308, etc.
You talking about the 6 5 Grendel or the 6 5 Grendel Super Mag?I'll stick with my 6.5 Grendel.
The .45GAP was a good idea....maybe better than the .40S&W. It suffered from lack of ammo (d/t shortage) and no other guns (d/t lack of ammo). That, and no one really wants a Glock anyway....The 45 GAP was just a stupid idea, but the .327 Fed has a small cult following and is still a thing.
a Cartridge that can launch projectiles ranging from 55 grain to 108 grain, up to 3500 FPS, from an AR 15 platform with only a bolt, barrel, and magchange (or just a barrel if you have a 6.5G) with multiple factory ammunition choices.
Is there another one I’m not aware of?
Otherwise known as the 6.5 Creedmoor? I'll stick with that too.You talking about the 6 5 Grendel or the 6 5 Grendel Super Mag?
I don't feel that's a realistic expectation. It's going to take a lot more than basic training to get the average soldier to be able to engage moving targets at those distances. It's hard enough to do that at 300 yards. Switching to 6 ARC is going to increase the weight of the ammo too, which means either soldiers will have to lug around more weight, or carry less ammo. It's also going to have more recoil. Not a lot, but enough. The less recoil a round has, the faster the follow up shot is going to be. The faster the follow up shot, the higher the hit probability on those 300 yard moving targets. Not to mention if the military does convert from 5.56 to the 6arc, just image the average kid coming out of boot camp able to effectively shoot & engage targets out to 800-1000yrds. I think our troops could benefit from a round like this. If they convert over, it would be nice to get brass ammo under .40 cents that shoots like a 6.5 grendel. Instead of $1 for Grendel....unless you reload.
With the cartridge being designed for the military i can see civilians buying into it since ammo should become just as available as 5.56 was before beer flue hit. If the military switches completely from 5.56...which they have been trying to do for years, this 6arc will be the new 5.56 for the civilians.
Id like to see how it does in a side by side comparison to the 6.5grendel. They are both based on the 7.62x39 case but the grendel can shoot up to 130gr. The the 6arc would be a little flatter shooting farther out, but you get a little more lead with the 6.5 grendel. They both would be pretty close imo.
The 5.56 is long over due for upgrade for our military. I think it could be the upgraded American version of 7.62x39. Its flatter shooting & has a heavier bullet than the 5.56. It would give our military an advantage in the field... no matter kicking doors or 300 yards on out. I see 1 bullet fitting tons of applications & making a do all round. The military would not have to worry about different calibers stocked for different roles.
At over $6K, those things are outta my financial league.I sure would like to have a large frame AR in 338LM though!!!!
