Actually I'm trying to gauge how much of a hassle will it be with random closures right now. Coming from AZ. Are we required to quarantine or will we be treated like lepers?

Thinking of driving from Phoenix to Ozona day 1, going to Gonzalez, staying at the Alcalde and checking out the museum if open day 2, then going to my final destination of College Station on day 3 and staying with my family for a week.

Normally I take an AR pistol and a couple of pistols for me and the wife on any road trip. Any disturbances in SATX or El Paso or any cities along I-10 to look out for?

Should I shelve the trip until "normal" comes?

Your advice is highly solicited and appreciated!

Traffic is normal on I-10 from San Antonio to Houston. Some construction along the way. No clue if you’d have to quarantine or not. As far as I can tell we haven’t hit covid level Mad-Max yet so you should be safe lol

Thank you for this information. The only way to find out reality these days is to ask people directly. The news is worse than useless. It's normal here in Arizona other than mask regulations and that's only really being enforced in two counties.

If you’re worried about crowded areas, Bucees have been pretty packed lately. Every business has a mask order in the state but who’s gonna enforce it? I’d say 95% of the people I see are wearing it (been in Lubbock, Waco, San Antonio, Concan, houston the last two weeks)

Just returned from TX to NM to AZ to CA on the 10 fwy and returned on the 40. I had one XD 40 and Never felt I needed more. PS we slept in the car at rest stops twice. You will need a mask! Everywhere you go and most museums are closed.

My old MC group just canceled a planned August weekend in NM because of the requirement for out-of-staters to quarantine for the 1st 2 weeks in NM. YMMV

Are these masks still acceptable in Texas?

Be careful in NM. They honor a valid carry license, but only one allowed to be loaded.

As for masks I have been using this get up and no hassles.

Pretty much same in Texas. Not much has changed for me other than some restaurant closures.
    OK good to know. Thanks!

My sister in TX always laughs when I tell her I bring a 10mm pistol just in case I see a hog. She says they've torn up her yard before but hasn't seen one for a while. I am hoping not to see any ever.
