Ventured into the road for a couple of miles today. Sunday morning traffic tends to be light at 0645.

Went to the Veloway this morning and after about 22 minutes and 6 miles I noticed it was getting darker so I called it a very short day.
Bottom fell out of the sky a few minutes after I got back in the truck.

I used to ride competitively with mountain bikes.....did the Texas/La circuit. Now thinking about a road bike since hip replacement won't let me do anything too aggressive. Currently searching Craigslist for a bike.

And up to 532 miles on bike since I bought it. Not world class numbers, but I am pretty happy with it after just under 3 months
Well done! 16mph for almost an hour is a nice clip. I haven't ridden since last week and I miss it! Maybe Saturday afternoon between the forecast rain events.

Good for you......still looking for a decent deal on a good bike.
If you want a "collector's" road bike, I have a Cannondale from 1998...wasn't built up until 2008. Mostly 105 goodies with a "custom" rear cluster for hills. Has the HeadShok short-travel front head shock(catchy name). A rare USA-made frame since they went off-shore years ago. Actually, it's a little big for me...best fit for someone 6ft or thereabouts. Should still be listed on Craigs-Austin
