About what you ask? Well, I lied to the home owner that the doors needed two coat and must dry over night before the second coat. I lied on here when I say range report wouldn't be up until tomorrow.... So I repent already righty.
First 36 rounds down the tube with the CZ75. Upper head shot is 18 rounds lower body mass is 18 rounds. The way these were done. I did a double tap - sorta. I got one in the chamber then decocked it. Then I fired two rounds one with a double action trigger and one with a single action trigger. Then I'd decock the trigger and do it again. I know this much @ 3 yards you do not want to be standing in front of me with the CZ75 in my hand.... I'll explain about the 2 flyers you can see in a minute. But at 3 yards w/new to me gun I was pleased with the grouping.
So let's move it out to 7 yards and do the same thing.... As one might expect the groupings opened up some but what was really interesting is what happened when I changed from Federal rounds to Blazer CCi rounds. As soon as I started running CCi rounds my groupings move up and to the left just a tad.
Ok... so now lets move it out the 15 yards. Again, as expected, the groupings got a bit larger. But from what I can tell even at 15 yards. You give me 18 rounds you're going down. All three of these distances were shot under the same condition. DA first shot and SA second shot. Decock and do it again. I did take time to aim with each shot.
Now about that CZ75 Phantom SP-01 double action. Holy frikkin cow!!! That DA pull is so long and heavy I thought I'd punch a hole in my belly button with my trigger finger before the damn gun went off. That is the cause of the flyers @ 3 yards. Fuk.... It's kinna like pulling something up a cliff with a rope. Pull it up, tie it off, get another purchase and pull it up some more. Keep doing that and eventually the gun will make a loud noise! I was at the range for ~3 hours and went through 300 rounds between the CZ75 and the FNS-9C. I'm gonna do a separate thread for that round. With the CZ I did rapid fire DA first shot followed by 16 rounds just about as fast as I could "sorta" get back on target. My trigger finger hurts! The heavy pull wasn't that bad it was the double clutching it too to get it to fire that I had issue with. Probably got fingernail gouges in the palm of my support hand! I doubt Cajun Gunsmith can do much about the trigger travel - maybe he can. If not taking some of the heavy outta the pull would go along way in making this a really nice shooter!
