Back when I was working & walking the dog @ 3:30 am I use to see them hunting frogs out of mud puddles inside the loop of Houston. It wasn't hard to find the trees they nesyed in for the volume & stank of their feces under the nest.Yellow Crested Night Heron - hatched & grown in my big sister's back yard in DFW.
