But, what if what the market will bear, is considered gouging by some.
It doesn't really matter when your back is against the wall.

Personally I have no issue with people selling off old stock for a profit. I believe in Capitalism.

My issue is with those clearing the shelves for profit now. Still Capitolism and still should be legal but it's a douche bag thing to do.

My real concern is the future generations. Parents that can't afford to take their kids out plinking at the current prices. This situation leading to kids losing interest in our sport because they can't participate is where we all lose.

Been there before. Was hard to part with most of that stuff, but like you I had no choice.

At least you are selling in a good market. I had to sell when prices were down.

Hope you find work very soon.
Thank you, I appreciate it. I know this too shall pass...I just hope it happens sooner than later.

It’s all replaceable unless you have some high end collectors. I once went from over 100 arms down to 30 for need of a bail out. Over time most all we’re replaced and most were better than what I had. Cost me about the same as I had previously invested. I’m back down to 30 or so just because I didn’t use or need them.

'Ol Gordon Leadfoot told in the lyrics about "The big lake they call Gitche Gumee".

    Lake Huron rolls, Superior sings
In the rooms of her ice-water mansion
Old Michigan steams like a young man's dreams
The islands and bays are for sportsmen
    And farther below Lake Ontario
Takes in what Lake Erie can send her

Sounds like he's singing about the Great Lakes.

Most definitely. Look up the Edmund Fitzgerald. Ore hauler on the Great Lakes. Went down in a storm with all hands lost.

    Interesting thing about that song.

Right before wrapping up the album, the record company came back to Gordon and wanted one more song to put on it.

Gordon came in to the studio, played through the melody of "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" for his band. They liked it. He went home that night, wrote the parts and finished the lyrics. Came to the studio the next morning, passed out the parts, told the drummer to come in when he nodded at him. They played and recorded the song in the first take. First time the band had ever seen the music. Pretty darned amazing. Shows how well the band knew Gordon and each other.

Gordon was a perfectionist, so they made several subsequent studio takes later over the years. Never liked any of them as well as the first.
