I might carry this so don’t want something really big and tall.
Also, not wanting Chinese or anything where you have to remove the sight to replace the battery.

What have you guys personally used and liked?

I know you're not looking for Chinese but I was very impressed with the Holosun 507c X2 and have been using it for the last few months. It's the only red dot with the EOTech type reticle having a circle with a dot center. Much easier and faster to get on target than just a 3 MOA dot. It has a small solar panel to power the sight when outdoors to save battery usage, also has a battery tray that loads from the side so you don't have to remove the sight.

No matter what red dot you decide on, highly recommend using a mounting plate from C&H Precision:
    V4 MOS GLOCK MIL/LEO to Trijicon RMR / SRO / Holosun 407, 507, 508 - C&H Precision Weapons (chpws.com)

With the Glock plates your sight is held on by two small screws with just 2 threads from each into the plate. Wasn't interested in having my red dot go flying during recoil.

RMR Type 2. Whichever size dot works best for you...

eta: yes, it does requore removal for battery change, but not really that big of a concern IMHO...

I’m fairly certain I’m going to get a Leupold Delta Point Pro tomorrow
It’s top loading battery, 2.5 moa and looks like its easy enough to use with good battery life.

I have a Sig Romeo and like it. Top load battery, not Chinese.

Mrgunsngear (YouTube) likes the Leopold & Trijicon. I think the Leopold would be great but don't have one.

The battery thing bugs me about RMRs.

ETA: I also have an RMR. I like it except for the battery.

Sig makes a nice one.. I think they have one at the store I’m going to .. but they are more pricey than the DP.. just don’t know if its worth it, but I will look at them online tonight before I go

I personally use the hollowing 507c2 as well. But if you want non-Chinese and low profile, give the nobles-docter a look. Doesn’t require mounting plate. Only worry is the window may be too small.

Why do you need a red dot?

    I thought Glock was perfection!
Did you? Did you really? Did you honestly think Glock was perfection? Really truly?

Are you sad to learn that nothing made by man is perfect?

Appreciate your taking the time and effort to bash Glocks and indirectly a guy who asked a simple question.

    Merry Christmas, Bro

Well we now know what the buzz in your screen name stands for. Buzzkill.

Like no glockist has ever said anything about 1911s and didn't glock itself come up with glock perfection? Maybe we need a sarcasm font.

I am not your bro, a simple DNA test would prove that.

    Oh for gawd's sake.

I'm a big fan of Glocks, but no they're not perfect and no other gun is either.

I have a Vortex Venom red dot sight on a Browning Camper .22 cal, but it's for fun shooting, not self defense.

I, by dint of never having enough practice, wouldn't put a red dot on a self defense gun, Glock or any other...

Iron sights only on a self defense gun - no red dot - no laser.

    KISS principle.

I thought the Merry Christmas was a clue...

Either way, if you’re gonna dish, you should be able to take...no need to get your panties in a wad.
