It’s actually a P-01 that came from the factory with a 75 D COMPACT slide; same slide that comes on the PCR. All matching numbers on the slide, barrel, and frame. CZ does this on occasion when their inventory requires a substitution; it’s not as rare as I wish it was.

Learned something new; day is now complete! Appreciate the info sharing.

Don't own many pistols, 4 to be exact. But, my CZ75 SP-01 Phantom is the best shooting gun I have. I did install CGW Pro-Trigger kit in it and well... you'd just have to shoot it to appreciate the total package it is now. Do plan on getting sum'ore!

Man i remember your thread as well as my go abouts with that install haha

I see a trend in these posts. It seems almost everyone has a 75 P-01. What a great little pistol with the rubber grips and the ergonomic frame. I have owned several over the years. Friends, coworkers, and even strangers at the range tend to buy my P-01s. This warrants a new search for a priced right P-01 on line. I love the thrill of the chase. I guess that is why I never keep any of my pistols for too long.

The CZ 75B is my favorite CZ gun, although, I have not shot nearly all of them. In its handling, it reminds me of the FN Browning High Power which is my favorite handgun.

And a Cz./Vz. 27 [my bad, wrote mod. 24 originally] in .32 cal. ACP. The slide looks like a 'last ditch' production, and this does have the Waffenamts for the Böhmische Waffenfabrik , fnh, WaA76. The magazines are interchangeable between the Cz. 24 and Cz. 27.
You can still find these around in the $300-400 range, although the really collectible models seem to run much higher.

Model 52 made in 1953, with walnut grips from grips4u and some vintage South African ammo.

CZ 75 pre-B hybrid with pinned front sight. Midnight blue cerakote, meprolight sights, coco bolo grips, CGW pins and springs throughout. Was an Israeli police turn-in, some pitting visible at the front of the slide and frame. So pretty I hate to get her dirty.

I’ve only a couple of them. They‘re iconic and really well made handguns.

When CZUSA first started up in this country they were retailing for less than their Italian and Israeli made copies.
Prior to the fall of the soviet union, CZ75 pistols were so rare in this country, they comanded exorbitant prices.

    To All,

After having fired a whole raft of Model 82 pistols over the years & given how accurate that all of the "serviceable" CZ82 handguns that I've fired were, I must say that the "rather odd looking" CZ82 is my favorite "pocket pistol", with the single exception of the flat/thin/easily concealed COLT'S Model of 1908 in.380ACP. - Further with the usual European Police "spec" loads, the 9X18MM ammo is a much BETTER STOPPER than any .380ACP LOAD is.

    Out here by the lake!
Back when I was hunting in Africa BRNO rifles were what most of the P.H.'s carried. In gun shops CZ pistols dominated. When I asked why, it was broken down real simple. RSA had been under years of US sanctions for apartheid & com bloc shit was what they got. I carried my S&W 629 & everyone who had the means offered me 4 times what it was worth. Even American made rifles in dangerous game calibers where going fo a super premium.

The problem was leaving a gun behind be it sold, gifted or traded was a very sketchy thing! When you try leaving & entering the country you fill out a customs declaration. Not on the form it aint leaving, same for re-entering America.

When the South African guys came over to sell safaris the loved going in gun shops. Anything American made had them drooling. A SureFire Combat light as part of their tip for hunting was a very big deal back then.

    baboon,

Once that I'm "back in the chips" again, I want a BRNO LEFT-HANDED SAFARI RIFLE in .375H&H. - I got to handle & shoot one when I was stationed in MD & the "nice doctor" let me try his.
    (I WAS HOOKED for sure..)

ZEISS "low power" SCOPE & BEAUTIFUL in its CLASSIC SIMPLICITY.
The maker's "attention to detail" was obvious & even better the more that I looked at the "little details" - HANDSOME piece of wood, too. = That stock has MORE STRIPES than an average tiger wears.

I absolutely love CZs, have quite a few.

However, the most disappointing gun I've ever had is my suppressor-ready P-01 in urban grey. I waited over a year for it to come back in stock, and paid well above MSRP once it finally did pop up somewhere.

First range trip with it, and after every few rounds the decocker would start walking out of the frame and deactivate the trigger.

I sent it back to CZ under warranty. They claimed it was fixed. Took it back to the range... and same issue.

That was three years ago. It has been in its box in the back of the safe ever since, and I'm still upset about having spent that much money on something I wanted so bad only to have it turn out to be a hunk of junk.

Love all my other CZs though. I have a non-omega P-01 that is a beat to hell surplus gun that is what I typically carry and it has been rock solid.

I have a gunsmith friend who can fix your pistol if you are in the McKinney area. He loves to work on CZs.
1911 Academy on Hwy 380 just west of Hwy 75 in McKinney. His name is Chuck.

He’s just a little guy. Just gnaws off the rubber (?), no damage to the frame. If he were a macaw (or a puppy) story might be different.
