I assume you already bought it, so if you filled out a 4473 before your purchase you should be fine because you would have known right away.
Or ............. if you're buying it, get the serial number and run it by the police before you close the deal.

And if you think the seller is that sketchy, just walk away...That is more ridiculous than a BOS. Cant imagine any seller putting up with that unless they have reeled in a whale.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to search a serial number to find out if a gun is stolen or not?

Ya know what I recall now the little shop that had the sign saying they would do it was here in SA and the gentleman was also an SA PD officer being Im not and FFL I stand corrected.
Must be he was able to due to his officer status.
