It's up to the Senate now. Let's see what the 31 members do. 18 R's -14 D's maybe we have a chance.

“Soon after, freshman Democrat Jasmine Crockett of Dallas, delivered a tearful speech before laying out an amendment that would have carved out courthouses from the legislation. Other House Democrats rushed to Crockett’s side as she stood at the House’s front mic.”

    Lol, all about the theater.

What is this “final stamp of approval” mentioned?

I hope LTC Instructors are eligible for unemployment.

I was debating becoming one. First I decided to get an RSO endorsement. Then when I was looking at the classes I thought, what the heck, let's become a Pistol Instructor too. I get requests frequently to teach people and I've never taken any kind of shooting class as an adult. I thought it might be a good idea since I don't really have a formal method.

The NRA Basic Pistol Instructor is a prerequisite for the LTC instructor certification. So hey, let's do that too! After taking the NRA Pistol Instructor course I think maybe it's not really for me though I'm sure I could do it. I'm retired and it all seems like a lot of work.

Now this. There will still be LTC instructors because some will want the LTC anyway for reciprocity purposes. But I bet demand gets cut 80%.

Counting chickens is dangerous business but they are at the top of the stretch so we can hope.

I talked to a "pro gun" LTC instructor yesterday about this.. you could tell they were not too enthusiastic about it passing ... how can you call yourself pro gun and not want this to pass?
I know they feel threatened about losing some business, but some people will want to keep their LTC so that they can drive state to state

Being an LTC instructor and getting upset about CC passing, is like being a block ice supplier and getting upset when people started buying refrigerators

The smart ones will adapt to the market. I've talked to a few LTC Instructors about why they don't do more types of shooting courses (Intro Rifle, Intro Pistol, SD Shooting, etc.) To a person, their response has been that LTC courses pay well enough that they have no desire to do anything else.

Now, they'll have to move their eggs around a bit....

    Honorable {first & last name},
Now that the House has passed HB 1927 (Constitutional Carry), I want to write and request you do all in your power to bring this measure to a vote in the Senate. Please support permit-less Carry (Constitutional Carry) and allow Texas to join at least twenty other states that recognize this Right.

I enjoin you to support Constitutional Carry and help ensure its passage in the Senate.

    Most Respectfully,

    xxxxxxxxxxx
